Our team recently completed a reroofing project for a family home in Tweedbank, near Galashiels. The property was a traditional semi-detached house with an ageing slate roof that had started to leak during heavy rain. After carrying out a full roof inspection, we recommended a complete slate replacement using durable, high-grade materials to match the original look of the property.
We stripped the old roof, repaired sections of timber joinery, and installed a new breathable felt and batten system before carefully laying the new slates. The project also included upgrading the ridge tiles to a modern dry-fix system, which provides longer-lasting protection against high winds.
The homeowners were delighted with the results — the roof now looks smart, is fully watertight, and comes with our 20-year guarantee for peace of mind.
